Upgrading Ireland’s Homes

Located in Enfield, Co Meath, this 1980's home was part-funded by SEAI, to undergo energy efficient deep retrofit works. The grant provided by SEAI helped fund the energy efficiency upgrades including wall and attic insulation, air-to-water heat pump, and new windows and doors.

KORE Retrofit provided project management services, design solutions, technical expertise, quality control services and full grant administration.

  • 100mm of KORE External EPS70 Silver insulation was used as part of a complete STX.

    Therm Alfa & Beta External Wall Insulation System, achieving a U-value of 0.27W/m2K.

    Best practice and high quality workmanship ensured that repeating and non-repeating thermal bridges were eliminated or kept to a minimum.

  • KORE installed a 8.5KW Mitsubishi EcoDan air-to-water heat pump system to provide the home with reliable, trouble free, renewable heating and hot water.

    The existing radiators were upgraded with new low temperature radiators with temperature regulating valves.

  • KORE installed an Aereco V4A premium demand control ventilation system, designed to ventilate the complete home, providing comfort and air quality.

  • KORE installed a 2KW JA Solar PV System, including 8 panels and inverter. Generating DC energy and converting it into current AC energy with the help of inverter technology.

    The homes use of renewable energy technologies eliminates the use of fossil fuels, reducing their energy bills, and lowering their carbon footprint.
